This tour circles the large mountain called Haleakala. Towering just above 10,000 feet above the ocean, Haleakala is the largest dormant volcano in the world, and a truly surreal piece of scenery that needs to be appreciated in full in an experience that only a helicopter can provide. West Maui and Molokai

Molokai boasts a captivating history. In ancient times, the island was divided into two distinct landmasses, West and East Molokai, which eventually merged as they expanded. Lava from East Molokai filled the space between them, shaping the island as we know it today. This volcanic formation is referred to as The East Molokai Volcano, also known as Wailau. You can observe this unique configuration while flying over East Molokai.

West Maui Mountains

The West Maui mountains, home to Iao Valley and one of the wettest places on the island, is the focus for the first part of your helicopter flight. Landing At Ulupalakua Ranch

In the southern region of Maui near Haleakala lies Ulupalakua Ranch, the second largest cattle ranch on the Hawaiian island of Maui. Ulupalakua Ranch covers 18,000 acres stretching from the ocean up the sloping side of Haleakala Volcano. The ranch reaches an elevation of 6,000 feet at its highest point. The helicopter will land here for about 20-minutes so guests can get a refreshment and enjoy the bi-coastal views.
