The day starts with a relaxed breakfast stop at Café O’lei at the Plantation, surrounded by the green landscapes of Upcountry Maui. After breakfast, the tour heads east along Maui’s North Shore and the legendary Hāna Highway. As the coastline unfolds outside your window, your knowledgeable local guide shares stories about Hawaiian history, culture, and the land, adding meaningful context to the journey.

Midday brings several iconic East Maui stops. Explore the dramatic lava shoreline and taro fields of Keʻanae Peninsula, a historic Hawaiian village known for its powerful ocean views. 5:00 – 6:30 PM | Return Drive to West or South Maui
Relax during the scenic drive back as your guide returns you to your hotel or condo, wrapping up a full and unforgettable day on the Road to Hāna.

Cruise Ship Guest Pickup

We are available for cruise ship pickup for our guests arriving on various cruise ships docking at Kahului.

Guests will make their way over to our pickup location a few minutes walk outside of the port facilities. (we are currently in the permit process to enter)

Please note that the designated pickup time for the shared Hana tours from cruise ships is set for 8:30 AM. Pickup and return to the pier is included in the price

Shared Hana tours are exclusively available on Sundays for Pride of America passengers. For those wishing to explore Hana on a Monday, we recommend booking a private Hana tour.

We offer hassle-free changes if you want to go on another day if you let us know 72 hours before your tour pickup. There are no refunds for tours canceled within 72 hours. There are no refunds for no-shows.

There are no refunds for tours starting on Oahu that include flights. Changing your tour date may incur a change fee.

Where Can This Tour Pick Us Up?

We can pick up at all hotels and condos, across the island, including in Upcountry Maui. If you are staying in a vacation rental in a residential area we will not be able to pick you up without an extra fee. Please book a private tour if you are staying in a house in a residential area.
Are Food & Drinks Included On This Tour?

There are drinks included on this tour but the meals are purchased on your own. In an effort to support the local communities we encourage our guests to purchase items, food and treats directly from good, family operations along the road to Hana.
How Can I Prevent Car Sickness?

We recommend over the counter medications containing meclizine (Bonine, Antivert, Dramamine), which can be an effective preventive measure for some of the shorter trips or for mild cases of car sickness. Most medication needs to be taken an hour or more before heading out on a challenging road trip like the curves and hairpin turns on the Road to Hana.
Is There Cell Phone Service On The Road To Hana?

Maui has good cellular service throughout most of the island, where visitors will spend most of their vacation time. Sprint and AT&T have decent coverage, and Verizon has an extensive cellular network. This tour is different as the Road to Hana has very little coverage from start to finish. It is remote, so be prepared for zero coverage for most of the day while driving down the highway.

Are infants allowed on tour?

Yes, infants are welcome on this tour. Our guides know how to drive the road that should rock any infant to sleep quickly.
Do you pick up from the port?

We do provide the option to pick up at the pier or at a nearby location a few minutes walk away from the cruise ship exit.
Do you get a call when the shuttle arrives to your resort?

Your guide may give you a text the night before pickup but you are expected to be at the agreed location at the confirmed time.
